My relationship with Ankara fabric is a very dynamic one, in the past I used scrap Ankara fabrics for revamping, upcycling and even making jewelries .I was itching to try out something different when the idea of fabric bowls came to my head. I tried it out and I loved how it turned out so I decided to share this tutorial.
The best part of this DIY is how easy it was to make and how unique it is especially seeing that I used Ankara fabric.
Another interesting thing about these bowl is how versatile it is. It can be used it as a storage or a decorative piece, it can also be used as a photo prop.

ANKARA FABRIC BOWL (INSTRUCTION)
Blow out your balloons to your desired size and tie the mouth.
Cut out your fabrics into squares and rectangles between the range of 3 to 6 inches
Place the balloon on a cup or a container so it doesn’t roll around then start adding mod podge around the balloon.
Start placing the fabrics on the balloons and then add more mod podge and more fabrics till you get your desired shape and thickness then allow to dry for 24 hours.
By now it should be fully dried so you can burst the balloon and remove the balloon carefully then trim the jagged edges uniformly into a bowl shape.
Voila your Ankara fabric bowl is ready .
You can use this bowl to style your console or coffee table, store jewelry or make up, it can be used to hold remote controls and keys.
